Obituary for Gracie Williams Browning

Gracie Williams Browning, age 86 of London, KY, widow of Odis Browning, passed away on Saturday, March 17 at her residence.

She leaves behind five children, Margie Lewis and husband Tom of Equality, IL, Lois Hedrick of London, KY, Larry Browning and wife Gail of Rutledge, TN, Donald Browning and wife Belinda of Benham, KY, Terry W. Browning of London, KY; three siblings, Dorothy Lewis of Gilley, KY, Ruth Proffitt of London, KY, Jimmy Williams of London, KY; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Mallie Williams and nine siblings, Helen Taylor, Earthie Turner, Willie, Odis, Rufus, Elmer, Reavis, Eddie and Coolie Williams.

She was a cook at Hardee’s Restaurant and of the Primitive Baptist faith. She was a member of Delphia Chapel in Delphia, KY and will forever be remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Funeral services for Gracie Williams Browning will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20 at Big Leatherwood Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Sparkman & Browning Cemetery at Stoney Fork, KY. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19 at House-Rawlings Funeral Home and again at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20 at Big Leatherwood Baptist Church.
