Obituary for Alpha Marie Brashear

Alpha Marie Brashear, age 88 of Viper, KY, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Corbin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corbin, KY. She was the daughter of the late George Caudill and the late Norma Brashear Caudill. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband: Troy Brashear Jr.; one brother: Lee Henry Caudill; as well as two sisters: Jean C. Hall & Docia Pratt Hanser.

Alpha was a long time member of the Lone Pine Baptist Church where she was involved in many facets of the church. She participated in community events and activities all during her life. She was employed at the Viper Post Office for many years, enjoyed working around her home and devoted many hours to her flowers. Alpha was also the supervisor of her husband's wood working projects and chief inspector of the finished products.

She is survived by one daughter: Brenda (Mike) Lewis of Corbin, KY; two sisters: Yvonne (Andy) Potts of Louisville, KY & Margaret Brashear of Covington, KY; one brother: Clyde (Marian) Caudill of Louisville, KY; two granddaughters: Lisa Lewis of Corbin, KY and Cheryl Partin (Bobby) of Corbin, KY; great grandson: Eli Michael Partin; special family friend: Anna Mullins; as well as a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends.
